The pink teddy bear, which would later symbolize one of the series’ most horrific examples of fallout from Walt’s machinations, made its debut in the Season 2 premiere. For legal reasons, the show couldn’t use a commercially-sold stuffed animal, so Gilligan made a rough sketch of what he had in mind — right down to the bright pink color of the bear — and prop master Mark Hanson had bears specially made by a company in New Mexico. Two versions of the bear used in the show (one with eyes, one without) are up for auction at ScreenBid.com.
